Is the Grid Ready? Exploring where, when, and why reliability risks emerge across energy scenarios with PRAS.
Join us for our webinar to introduce PRAS to the M3 Platform suite. PRAS (Probabilistic Resource Adequacy Suite) is an open-source tool that brings probabilistic resource adequacy analysis to the open modelling toolkit. Where traditional reliability assessments offer a single snapshot, PRAS stress-tests a power system across thousands of simulated conditions — generator and transmission outages, variable renewable output, fluctuating demand, and the constraints of limited-energy resources like storage and hydro. The result is a fuller picture of where and when a system may fall short.
Bipasa Agrawal (SESIT) will demonstrate how PRAS works and how it can be applied to real policy and planning questions. The session will also cover the PRAS-Linkage, the Python preprocessing bridge that connects CODERS and CEM outputs to PRAS.
This webinar is suited for policy and resource planning analysts, energy researchers, and modellers with an interest in resource adequacy analysis and open-source energy modelling tools.
