The Energy Modelling Hub hosted, on October 3, 2023 a webinar to introduce the groundbreaking CER and showcase our innovative modelling services that can help interested parties conduct comprehensive Policy impact assessments of the CER’s implementation.

Webinar takeaways:
1) Substantial emissions savings are associated with the policy, even though there is an incremental cost for the Clean Electricity Regulations scenarios compared to those of the business-as-usual.
2) The impacts of the Clean Electricity Regulations are more pronounced in a high electrification scenario with respect to emissions.
3) Large wind development will be necessary before 2035 under the new regulations which hints at the urgency for short-term planning.
