Adam Monahan

I am an atmospheric physicist with a research focus on combining physical, probabilistic, and statistical perspectives to characterize and understand atmospheric variability. I have a particular interest in the meteorology of renewables (specifically wind and solar).

My colleagues and I develop idealized probabilistic models of wind speed, relevant to understanding variability of the wind resource. We also make extensive use of global and regional climate model output for the study of present and future energy resources.
